A SINGLE STEP
x
Just a seven-day, arduous voyage from the Pillars of Heracles by barque, a visit to Atlantis is well worth incurring the wrath of the gods. Along the way, you may encounter normal sailing hazards, such as krakens, vengeful storms and sea serpents but nothing too unexpected. Upon arrival to the appointed spot, a diving bell or other such device may be lowered into the watery depths and/or grave.

JOURNEY
x
Upon arrival, one is met by the Marax, a giant crustacean, that guards Atlantis. If not instantly greeted with its giant pincer, one will have to check in at a zone crossing. Expect to be asked a few basic questions by a Son or Daughter of Poseidon such as, “Be you a deceptive, vile, land-dwelling devil come as an forerunner to a full-scale invasion from the surface world?” The correct answer to which is “No” (or rather “Nay”). Unless, you wished to be tossed back to the Marax. If you pass your interrogation, you will be guided by a magnetic ray to the City of Atlantis, defended by disintegrator beams to deter smugglers (or anyone really). You will be brought up from a subterranean sea into an immense air pocket. Inside there are found trees, mountains and animals, just as on the surface, and an entire day can be spent seahorse ridding or at the markets, feasting upon angler or blob fish. The City of Atlantis is a customary starting point for a visit prior to exploring historic Atlantis on the seafloor. Notably, within city walls is a large shimmering high-energy crystal, suspended by lasers, what features prominently in the downtown area. This is a spectacular sight to visit at night; that is to say, when the artificial sun is on cool down.

EXPLORE
x
The geography of Atlantis is not quite what it was before it was sunk into the sea, by earthquakes, under the rein of Empress Phorenice, approximately 11,500 years ago. In its heyday, Atlantis boasted a unique topography of islands within islands. However, today, one only gets a suggestion of pre-submarian Atlantis; the ancient grandeur that was Poseida, Og and Aryan. Temples, which have not been completely buried in sand, are visible, some statues too, worn by the elements, are still yet standing. However, broken columns and crumbling blocks of marble are a common sight along the seafloor. Seaquestrian taxis are available at most ports outside domed areas. These seahorse-drawn carriages will take you around to visit the ruins for a fee. For those without Atlantean currency, Spanish Doubloons are also accepted. Fluency in Atlantean is not necessary, as most locals possess thought reflectors capable of immediate telepathic translation. Other means of transportation include rocket submarines. These are often propelled by levigen, a gas nine times lighter than hydrogen, and are prone to breaking down. Yet, an excellent way to get by is the belly of a great white whale. We recommend booking ahead of time, as reservations are hard to come by during the Atlantean summer. Conversely, we caution renting gigantic flat fish to ride, as these are difficult to saddle and prone to scams. If visiting overnight on the ocean floor oxygen bells may be rented, but one must be wary of Praxa. Praxa are indigenous wildlife, great living orbs of green light. They have been known to break into oxygen bells and rob sleepers of their eyes, upon which they feed. Fortunately, visitors are left otherwise unharmed.

LIVE TO TELL THE TALE
x
Perhaps, above all else, Atlantis abounds with popular fitness activities, as fleeing for your life is excellent cardio. An absolute must is swimming with mermaids around the Dome of Aevernoria. Enjoy a wonderful 360 degree view of this engineering marvel and its avant-garde architecture while the call of the siren's song compels you to your doom. However, if you do manage to avoid being battered upon the jagged rocks of the living mountain creature “The Krag,” many more such opportunities are available on your visit! One may still yet be crushed by the Kraken of Poseidopolis or electrified by a Krixchok, giant sea slug. Also, there is the Hydrops Ferox, not an exceptionally large fish, but there small red animal have been known to strip a person down to their bones should the smallest amount of blood attract them.
x
Even if one manages to avoid all the obstacles mentioned, Atlantis is home to deadly currents, which have pulled down many a ship to the ocean's floor. Likewise, water cyclones and underwater volcanoes are very real phenomena that present untold danger. But, without risk there is no reward. For in Atlantis lies the finest corals, pearls, golden coins, sapphires, rubies, diamonds, etc. A immense fortune, which has been gathered from the hulls of sunken ships over the past thousand or so years, awaits those who readily brave the elements. Still, visitors must also be on the guard for rumors are heard of Volkites, mechanical warriors, surviving from the great war between Sharad and the mad tyrant Unga Khan, armed with deadly atomguns. Above all, however, crystals, the very source of Atlantean power, abound in this undersea land. Needless to say, the attempted or successful theft of such from Atlantis is met with the severest penalty, a full seven degrees worse than the Marax.
x
NOTE: The intent of this guide is simply to offer a brief introduction for visits to the undersea kingdom. For a full overview, please review the tablets conveniently located in the sealed chamber underneath the right paw of the Great Sphinx of Giza, Giza Plateau, west bank of the Nile, Giza, Egypt.
